Literacy Pittsburgh’s adult learners come from around the corner and from around the world. These men and women are dedicated, hard-working individuals with rich, lived experiences.

From beginner English classes to QuickBooks certifications, Literacy Pittsburgh delivers adult education programs that support every stage of career development.

Literacy Pittsburgh’s College and Career Pathways align our educational programs, student services, and college and career-oriented classes to create a seamless journey for our students from entry through graduation or goal completion. We help prepare students to gain the reading, writing, math, English language, and digital skills needed to transition directly into the workforce or to enroll in two-year, four-year, or certificate programs.

Our English Language Learning (ELL) students are work-authorized individuals and often held highly skilled jobs in their home countries. More than 50% of our ELL students have a college degree. We help them learn English and transition to the American workplace. Our College and Career Readiness/GED Preparation students are “never give uppers.” We help them gain the credentials, skills, and knowledge to move forward with their lives and gain stable careers.
